No, the regions wouldn't match. North America is region 1, Europe is region 2 (I think, may be something else).

IF you have NOT set the region's of your drive to a specific type then you should be able to play them

if u want to run a dvd's .. then u neeed compatiable software...then which ever city's dvd and laptop u use...

yes you can play pal on a us computer.you cant do it on a dvd player though. if you still have an original xbox try softmodding that and install xbmc you can play any movie out there on it

Is Lenova 3 years warranty international and valid in Europe?

Is Lenova 3 years warranty international and valid in Europe?
Does anyone have experiences with buying Lenova laptop in the USA and using the warranty in Europe? I want but new laptop in the USA but I am not sure if the warranty will be valid in Europe (3year additional warranty). Thanks for answers

Only INTERNATIONAL warranties are valid over here and they generally only given with equipment sold duty free at airports unless your dealer in the US can do the official Applecare international policy.

I like in the US What do I need to make my laptop work in Europe/UK since I am traveling to both for 3 months... I really do not want to fry it

Well, you'll need the appropriate plug. Every country/region has its own outlet shape. Check the power brick on your charger- if it says 110-240V anywhere on it, that should be all you'll need. The laptop actually can only take about 20V and it has to be DC, so that brick converts the AC coming from the outlet into a lower voltage DC. Many power bricks can handle both the 110V U.S. power supply and the 240V European power supplies.

Check the power supply on your computer. If it says that the input voltage is 110 then you may have problems - most European countries use 220-240 volts. If your power supply says something along the lines of 110-240 volt input then you should be fine. The same goes for any other chargers you may want to use - mobile phones, batteries and so on. You will need an adaptor for your plug - most European countries use round pin sockets while the British system is a three prong one - but you shouldn't have any problems getting hold of those.
