If you have WiFi service you can get on the internet without paying the fees, but you will most likely need another power adapter for their outlets. I hope this was what you were asking, you didn't specify what you ment on "Work" in poland. Computers are not country specific.

Just make sure you have the AC adapter to handle the difference in voltage in Europe...the outlets are completely different as well.

I was wondering if I kept it locked up in a locker

Should I bring my laptop to Europe?
It is worth about $800. I will be staying at a lot of hostels so it seems a prime place for it to get stolen however, I was wondering if I kept it locked up in a locker, if that would be enough to keep it from getting stolen?

You'll have to balance your need against the possibility of loss. Why are you bringing it? For internet/email access? There are plenty of internet cafes around Europe that you can use. Is it work-related? You could just load your needed documents onto a flash drive and use the cafe's computers. I always bring mine, but then, I always stay in hotels.
Answer 2 :
It generally isn't worth the effort to bring your laptop along unless you need it for business. Most places here in Europe have pretty good public access to the internet. Even the small city that I live in here in Italy has some public access spots. The laptop is likely to be just extra weight to lug around that's a target for thieves. I very rarely take one of my laptops with me even though I also stay in hotels rather than hostels. Basically, you need to ask yourself what you need the laptop for and where you'll be going.

I need some kind of plan for my laptop to use wifi in europe?

do i need some kind of plan for my laptop to use wifi in europe?
I'm going to Ireland, UK and France next month...and someone was mentioning data plans for your LAPTOP...do i really need that? In my books it said that there are plenty of wifi spots in cafes and hostels and stuff like that in europe...can't i just connect to those providers? Or do i need some kind of international internet plan? Couldn't reach anyone who could answer me on this.

You don't need a data plan on your laptop to connect to free public WiFi in EU. If you were going to try to use your own internet connection through Xfire or some other wireless company, then you would need one.
