What are the power converter requirements to use my laptop in Europe?
Dell D410. Going to Czech Republic, France, and Spain. I've read various things on the Internet. Some say to use a converter, some say don't. And I cannot find anything on the Dell site that answers the question. Have you done this? If so, what is the safest, easiest way? Thanks for the answer. Somebody here suggested I chat with Dell online. They gave me the answer. (No converter needed, just an adapter.)

Been to Europe 6 years. The normal power situation is double.over there. 110 here, 220 there. Power converters or adapters are essential if your laptop doesn't have one. They are actually inexpensive and readily available over there.

bon voyage u'r notebook & power adapter are built to operate globally all u gotta get is a plug adapter kit, as below http://www.ciao.co.uk/APC_International_Notebook_Plug_Adapter_Kit_C6_3_Prong_Power_cable_kit__5634012 the reason being that the power plug / sockets in different countries are shaped different true voltage levels are different, but all u got to do is read the power adapter specifications which should read 100 - 250 volts input, 50 / 60 hz your output is constant 19.5 volts dc, irrespect of input voltage check it out & let me know ...
