Answer 1 :
you will need a voltage adapter, Europe runs on 220v, were 110 v you should be able to get one at a radio shack, any computer shop,
Answer 2 :
errr, the adapter will not transform the voltage, the transformer will. An adapter will only change the shape of the prongs so you can plug it in Europe Check the power brick of your laptop(you know, that huge brick on the power cord), it should say something like: Input: 110/220V. If it says exactly that, then yeah, all you need is a plug adapter since your power brick has a built in transfomer. If the laptop only says Input: 110V, then you would need a transformer. Make sure the transformer can deliver at least 120W of continuous power. Your other option is this case would be a new power supply like the ones you can get from igo: http://www.igo.com/selectorIGOSOL.asp You can also buy igo products at local stores, like radioshack. Most of them do come with buil in transformers. In either case, you would still need to buy the adapter.
