Can an Alienware M18x laptop be shipped to Eastern Europe?
Hey, I'm current looking to buy an AlienWare M18x laptop. Problem is, The only dell site that offers it I've found is the US Dell, which, sadly doesn't have an option for intercontinental shipping. Any solutions offered are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Probably not, I live in Malta, which is considered as southern Europe, and I have the same problem. There are some solutions to this. You could always buy it off e-bay or amazon (if your country has an amazon site), obviously, you won't get it erectly from the source, and it might not be as safe, and don't forget to always check the warranty details. You could also try (i don't really recommended) some companies which give you an address in the USA, so, when they receive a package for that address, they automatically link it with your actual home address and send it there. There are various problems for this though, there would be a lot of handling of the product, so you have no idea what state the laptop would arrive in, warranty would probably be useless since it would be only applicable to the US. Still, if you're interested, there are companies such as Bongo International (Used By HoodieBuddy) and other sites which do this, for a fee. I never used them myself though, so I can't guarantee anything, but, if you really want to use them, I really do recommend looking up on their customer service and stuff. Also, you can check if Dell has a local website. Other than that, you could always try and see if there are any local Dell stores that - if they don't have Alienware laptops - could order it especially from you. Hope this helps, and good luck! :)

He will definitely need adapters for power. They use 220/50 vac and european standard power receptacles. Not sure about wifi standards over there. Good Luck
Answer 2 :
Hello: The laptop would function normally but it won't be able to run on the charger or recharge since their outlets are different. They also have different voltages. I would suggest you use a device like this: http://www.topmic.com/141-0703.html It works anywhere in the world. Its both an adapter and a converter. Best of luck.
Answer 3 :
Well he will need a power adapter. (no problem getting this in germany). But you should consider that dvds, games, even windows will not work on this computer if your son buys them somewhere in Europe (at least if you are not from "europe" as i assume).

Do I need to use a power converter for my Apple laptop while in Europe?
Do I need to use a power converter for my Apple laptop while in Europe?
I have a mac powerbook G4, and everybody told me that I don't need a power converter, when I travel to Europe...So I didn't use one, and basically my battery died. I'm gonna get a new battery, and I'm just wondering do I need to use a converter now or no? I'm still in Europe. Will using a converter damage my computer? This is what my brother told me.... Thanks

If you are in the US you will need a power converter. The plugs in Europe vary by location and you cannot plug a standard US or Asian device in to a European out it. Also the current used varies contry by country and if the power is not properly converted over your equipment can brake.
