Regardless of the country its made, nowadays, it has become a standard for all electric/electronic equipments to have wide power range adapters. That means your laptop power adapter should have the range of 100-220v with a frequency range of 50/60 Hz.Check the power rating given in your power adaptor. What you need is the power adaptor/plug for the country you travel. I suggest you to buy a universal adaptor, which can be used across all the continents. Hope this helps you.

I accidently stepped on my gf's laptop (dell inspiron 8100 15") and have been looking to replace the screen. Can anyone suggest a place that isn't too expensive. I work in america but my gf is in canada and works in europe so most places are easy to get stuff delivered to and from. Please help.

At this point, I believe, you have two options. http://www.screentekinc.com or eBay. I'm afraid it will cost you between 180-300$. It's the price you have to pay. Before you shop; however, I would get your gf's resolution. You can do this by: Right-click on the desk top>click properties>click settings.

Where to get the best deal for a laptop - Beijing, Shanghai, or Europe?

Where to get the best deal for a laptop - Beijing, Shanghai, or Europe?
I need a new laptop (a core i5, 15/17 inch screen, discrete graphics, reliable and robust, have a few Acers, Asus and Lenovos in mind) I will be traveling in China - Beijing and Shanghai and in Barcelona in September. Prices home (Romania) are about 100 to 200 dollar higher than in the US (shops in the US don't ship in Romania). Where would I find the best deal? Would I have to pay any taxes upon return from in China? Regarding the Green Dam Youth Escort software - I would reinstall the OS with my own copy of win7 or a linux distro. So I don't think it would matter.

Euro is the last place you wannt buy any laptop or tech, the sales tax is so high. China is idea place for cheap laptop, just make sure you buy from big retailer not the small one. Price of laptop i s pretty cheap in U.S. aleady, in china and other place you can't just return most they can do is exchange.
Answer 2 :
buy a Acer they they best one you list worst one LENOVO and if it is for your own use you should not pay tax . As for the best deal most IT shops are competitive

A lot of better hotels and places that cater to Americans have adapters that you can use. Or they have clean 110v 60hz power available for you to plug into. Besides that you will have to find one because without a charger you can't charge you battery.
